Greg Smith is an experienced professional with trade association and communication credentials. Currently, Greg serves as the Website and Publications Manager for the National Small Business Association (NSBA). In this position he is responsible for the design of and brand development for all publications, event materials, newsletters and other marketing tools. He also manages the association and its councils’ websites including content, multimedia interfacing and developing strategies for future expansion.
Prior to joining the NSBA team, Greg was employed at the American Public Gas Association (APGA) serving as the Director of Marketing and Membership. There he oversaw membership growth strategies, crafted communication and digital media strategies to provide brand consistency, and organized the event planning function for the associations meetings and conferences.
Before APGA, he was a marketing associate for the Corporate Executive Board’s Marketing, Advertising, and Communication Division (MAC). There he developed strategies for penetrating the Canadian market and developed marketing collateral to further promote and spread brand awareness of MAC.
Greg earned his BA in Political Science from Westminster College and his MA in Public Communication from American University School of Communication.
