Health Care Law Updates and Upcoming Web Chat
Aug 10, 2010

The majority of small-business owners (79 percent) are confused about how the new health care law will impact their business, according to the 2010 NSBA Mid-Year Economic Report.  To try and address some of the confusion, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will hold a web chat for small buisnesses this week, just as new regulations are released by the Obama administration.

The Small Business Administration (SBA) scheduled a web chat for small business owners Thursday, August 12. The SBA event, “Health Care and Small Business,” will focus on the new tax credits available to small businesses that offer coverage to their employees. The web chat is hosted by the IRS’s Chief of Employment Tax John Tuzynski, and is scheduled from 1:00-2:00pm Thursday.

W
hile the SBA continues with its education efforts to assuage small business concerns with the new law, other federal agencies continue to promulgate new regulations and guidance for its implementation.
