HR 2965 was already passed in the House last year, but has been held up in conference since then, due to opposition over several changes to the program that the legislation has proposed. Now, Rep Altmire is trying to sneak the bill through the back door, attaching it to a piece of legislation he knows the Senate will have difficulty opposing.

The jobs creation bill shouldn't be used to advance partisan agenda at the expense of this important program.  Let your Congressman know that you don't support Rep Altmire's heavy-handed attempt to force this bill through, and that the SBIR program should not be radically altered.
