IRS Unveils New Small Business Web Products
Feb 2, 2009
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has new products available on their official website, www.irs.gov, aimed at helping enable small businesses and the self-employed navigate complex tax rules and more to easily locate essential information.

The Small Business Resource Guide (SBRG), formerly a CD-ROM, is now available online and provides small-business owners with tax-related information relative to starting and managing their business. The IRS has ensured the SBRG 2009 website offers the same quality of information the SBRG CD was known for, covering a wide range of tax topics, web links to business forms, publications, and other useful governmental web sites.

SBRG site offers a new page featuring video and audio presentations on a variety of topics for small businesses and self-employed taxpayers. It also includes short presentations dedicated to help small businesses in the areas of:
• Adjusting Employment Taxes: New for 2009
• Backup Withholding for Form 1099-MISC
• Bartering Income
• Choosing a Tax Preparer
• Employer Identification Numbers
• Small Business Tax Workshops
• Schedule C: Who needs to file and how to do it
Small businesses and the self-employed can also find information and resources in the self-employed individual’s tax center.
