On Thursday, May 30 at 1:00 p.m. EDT, NSBA will host a teleconference on immigration reform to discuss the various immigration proposals and how they impact small business. The call will feature Alvaro M. Bedoya, Chief Counsel for the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Privacy, Technology & the Law.
The Senate Judiciary Committee is expected to finish their markup of the immigration reform bill later this week, capping off a roughly 3-week mark-up which included more than 300 amendments. NSBA continues to track and weigh-in on two key areas of importance to small business: guest workers and mandatory E-Verify.
