U.S. Liability Costs Are Much Higher Than Competitors

The Institute for Legal Reform has released a study which shows that liability costs in the U.S. are dramatically higher than other developed countries: more than 2 ½ times higher than the European average and 40 percent higher than Canada.

Plain Regulations Act Introduced

Last week, Rep. Bruce Braley (D-Iowa) introduced the Plain Regulations Act of 2013 with the goal of simplifying federal regulations and reducing costs to small businesses–a follow-up to his Plain Writing Act which was enacted in 2010 and strongly supported by NSBA.

Regulatory Analysis Act Introduced in Senate
